The 5th edition of the Volta a nado Illa de Tambo is an open water swimming crossing held in the surroundings of the Ría de Pontevedra, with start and finish at the iconic Praza da Chousa in Combarro (Poio). This sporting event, organized by the Concello de Poio and Atlantic Extreme Sports, invites federated and non-federated swimmers to challenge the waters of the estuary across three different distances.
The race stands out for its natural setting and technical organization, which includes safety services with boats, kayaks, and support from various nautical and civil protection entities. Special awards for the first local swimmer (6 km), youngest swimmer, and oldest swimmer.
