About the race
B-Active Events launched the TINMAN Series into the Cape in 2023, bringing the oldest triathlon series in South Africa to a new region. Originating in 1999, the TINMAN Series is a grassroots development initiative designed to be a fun, family-friendly multisport event where adults and kids can race side by side.
The Benguela Cove event is part of a national series that includes races in Durban and Joburg. Participants compete in a variety of formats, ranging from the Mini Tri for younger athletes to the Challenge Tri and Duathlon for more experienced competitors, all set against the scenic backdrop of the Bot River Lagoon.
