About the race
The Grand Prix OWA represents the most demanding tournament on the Open Water Adventures calendar. It is a competitive long-distance circuit consisting of four scoring rounds, designed to test the strategy, endurance, and adaptability of swimmers in diverse natural settings.
The 2026/2027 season aims to crown the absolute champions, the leaders of each category, and the season's champion team. The scoring system rewards performance relative to the best overall time for each gender, applying specific coefficients based on the distance of each stage and allowing for the discard of the lowest score obtained.
Course
4-member relay, each swimming approx. 50 meters.
One full lap of the 2 km circuit.
Two laps of the 2 km circuit.
8 km continuous swim. Upon completing the first 4 km, the split is recorded for the OWA Circuit without exiting the water.
Awards
Absolute champions, category champions, and the season's champion team are awarded. $2,700,000 in prizes will be distributed, with $1,350,000 in credit for the overall champion of each gender.
