About the race
The Rábaúszás is a traditional swimming event held on the Rába river, in the stretch between Ostffyasszonyfa and Nick. The course covers 4.8 km, much of which flows through calm waters thanks to the Nick dam.
The atmosphere is convivial and well-organized: participants are accompanied along the route by canoes and kayaks to ensure safety. Upon arrival at the slipway on the left bank above the dam, swimmers are welcomed with hot tea and the traditional 'zsíros kenyér' (bread with lard).
