About the race

Dive into a HUGE weekend of sun, surf and swims at the inaugural Terrigal Swim Fest! From intimate small-group swim clinics led by expert coaches to the main event with ocean swims from 300m to 5.0km, Terrigal Swim Fest is a bucket list weekend for any keen ocean swimmer.

On Saturday, we start our weekend with two epic open water clinics – these are an excellent opportunity to get expert coaching, tips & tricks from elite coaches and athletes, including Olympic legend Michael Klim. Then on Sunday, ocean swims ranging from the 300m Junior Giants to 5.0km, plus an exciting new format – the Knockout Sprint Relay. As always, there will be a huge range of abilities on the start line, from first-timers to seasoned swimmers and current Australian representatives.

But it’s more than just swimming — enjoy a packed three-day program with live entertainment and social events for you and your support crew at leading local venues and free community events.

1 km

Part of the Knockout Sprint Relay: 1000m, 500m & 250m back-to-back with elimination.

3 km

Around the same course as the Terrigal 2.0.

5 km

Multi-lap course around the sheltered waters of Terrigal Beach.

Awards

Presentations on event day will be held in the Terrigal Surf Club (upstairs) immediately after our events conclude, at approx 12:30pm. Presentations will include the following overall prizes in each event (male & female): 300m Junior Giants (1st, 2nd, 3rd WSS Product Prize), Terrigal 1.0 (1st, 2nd, 3rd WSS Product Prize), Terrigal 2.0 (1st, 2nd, 3rd WSS Product Prize), Terrigal 3.0 (1st, 2nd, 3rd WSS Product Prize), Terrigal 5.0 (1st $500, 2nd $300, 3rd $200).

How to get there

Terrigal Haven has all day free parking and is a short stroll along the boardwalk to Terrigal Beach (wheelchair friendly). Wilson Street multi-storey parking station has free undercover parking all day. Parking in the street or the Surf Club car park is restricted and patrolled by Rangers.
