About the race
Yumigahama in Minami-Izu is a scenic spot selected as one of Japan's 100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Beaches and 100 Best Beaches, featuring a beautiful 1.2km long bow-shaped coastline. The harmony between the white sand, the pine forest lining the beach, and the blue sea is captivating, making it one of the three most beautiful beaches in Izu.
In the nearby Osagami Beach area, there are various unique rock formations, such as 'Shuutome-ne' which can be reached on foot at low tide, 'Suzume-iwa' (Sparrow Rock) which makes a chirping sound as waves break, and 'Ebi-ana' (Shrimp Cave) with its large natural arch. It is a nature-rich environment perfect for enjoying open water swimming.
