Where to stay

Accommodations in Chantilly focus on mid-range business hotels and modern suites, given the proximity to the airport and the tech corridor. Travelers typically find standard hotels ranging from $120 to $220 per night. For a more localized stay, some visitors opt for extended-stay apartment-style lodgings that offer kitchen facilities, ideal for athletes managing their own race-day nutrition. The area lacks traditional boutique harbor hotels, so most participants secure rooms along the Route 28 corridor, which provides direct access to the recreation facilities and local dining hubs.

Things to do nearby

The area offers a blend of historical and natural exploration. You can tour the 18th-century Sully site to understand the regional colonial architecture or hike the trails at Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, which features native woodland and historic pond structures. For those interested in aviation history, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center provides an expansive look at space and flight technology. Local culinary experiences include a variety of international cuisines reflective of the diverse population in Northern Virginia, with seasonal farmers' markets offering fresh produce from nearby rural counties.
