Where to stay

Villa Gesell is characterized by its traditional 'balnearios'—beach clubs that serve as the hub of coastal life. Visitors typically opt for apartments or local lodges near the Paseo 124 area. While the town offers a range of stays, from independent guesthouses to more structured seaside accommodation, the high season often requires early booking. Expect rates to fluctuate between $60 and $130 USD per night depending on proximity to the beachfront and the level of amenities provided by the establishment.

Things to do nearby

Beyond the race, the weekend revolves around the beach lifestyle. The area is famous for its forest-meets-sea landscape, offering opportunities for trekking in the local dunes or cycling through the pine forests planted by the city's founder. Visitors can explore the local gastronomy, which features fresh seafood and the traditional Argentine 'picadas'. For a change of pace, kayak and stand-up paddleboarding are accessible from the various beach clubs, allowing for a perspective of the coastline from the water.
