The Ohrid Swimming Marathon, founded in 1962, is an international open water swimming competition with a rich history reflecting passion and dedication to the sport. It is known for its unique atmosphere, excellent organization, and the significant challenge it offers to participants.
Swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Ohrid, one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe, provides a unique experience. The event is part of the prestigious FINA marathon series, attracting top athletes from around the world while being supported by a warm and hospitable local community.

Course
Main event for the best swimmers in the world, requiring endurance and mental strength.
Awards
The top three European athletes (male and female) will receive a cash prize: 1st €2,500, 2nd €1,500, 3rd €1,000. An additional cash prize will be awarded to the first male and female swimmer at the two FLYING SPRINTS, with €500 for each flying sprint. To receive this prize, the swimmer must finish the race within the time limit.
